Connie Josefs is a writer, editor and writing coach. She had a nice website that had served her well but she was needing to move her focus more to the memoir-writing work she had begun to specialize in and to re-brand herself.

Having developed a strong identity with her previous site, the process of disengaging with the old was not simple. Designing the new logo took many drafts before the final one (which looked more like the old logo than the others) took shape in a way that felt right.

The client had provided a folder full of images to use as design inspiration and we used a paled-down version of one as the background for the site, setting the site up with the idea that “writing is a place to go”.

The quiet background allows the client to create variety and color in the content and the result is both a quiet zen space and a place of energy and creativity.

I’ve gotten great response to the website. Thank you again for your help, the lovely design and your seemingly endless patience. It’s great to have a new, non place-based infrastructure for my business. Took a lot of work and a lot of time, but well worth it.
