We were honored to be noticed as a top designer of author websites by the writingtipsoasis.com website for writers. If you are here to see some examples and ideas, here’s a selection of some author websites we have designed:

You can see more here: website designs for authors.

It’s work that we are proud of—including websites for novelists, poets, academics, graphic novelists, bloggers, historians and issue-driven writers. In every case, we take care to present the author’s work in a way that makes it easy for a visitor to get a good idea of the author’s works and to make it an easy process to go further and find or buy the work.

I remember noticing, when I was first looking at author websites, that many showed only book covers for each published work, even on the “Books” page. I prefer to provide a short excerpt next to each book cover image so that a user can click on the one that’s most likely to be of interest to them and not land on a page talking about a book that isn’t the most interesting-sounding to them. It’s small details like these that make an author website more effective.

We also take care to optimize the websites for people searching for the kind of writing the author creates—so that it can be found by people not already familiar with the author as well as existing fans.

Every website is completely different, as we custom-design each one to the author’s work and needs.

Awfully nice to have been recognized by Writing Tips Oasis!

I design websites for artists, collectors, galleries, performers, authors, architects and, basically, anyone who has creative vision and wants a standout website. I'm also specializing these days in building artist/art websites with full private archival functionality in the backend. I give workshops and occasionally write about these kinds of things and you're welcome to join my newsletter if you'd like to know when I write something like this post or if you're interested in web-related workshops.
