RohesiaRohesia Hamilton Metcalfe is the founder and web designer of hamiltro website design — a small company that specializes in creative web design.

I’ve been in business as a web designer since 2001. Before that I was working in web & database development for a non-profit organization. My background is otherwise in experimental film and video art.

If you are looking for...
...a website that is unique to you, is fast and easy to navigate and brings you good new business, I can help you.

I pay equal attention to the foundations, the structure and to a fabulous look for your website. I think in terms of your goals, I think in terms of how search engines work and I think in terms of how web-users use the web. And from all of this I get creative and... design.

My websites aim to be kind to the brain and eye — whether they are elegant and professional business websites or gallery websites for artists and photographers. I do zen simplicity and I do funky but I always leave space on the page.

All my websites are custom-designed. A website I design for you will grow from ideas associated with you and what you do. If you think of web design the way you’d think about building a house, hamiltro websites are the architect-designed kind.

My services include establishing your website on a server, providing ongoing maintenance or a content management system, and e-commerce if you need it. My design background includes plenty of coding experience of my own and I collaborate with great programmers for advanced features beyond my own coding expertise — Steffi Gratzer, Deepak Shah and Maarten Ideema.

Every website is designed to work well for search engine results and I provide search engine optimization services (aka seo) for existing websites that need help. I seem to specialize in websites for artists, which I like — but I also like to apply my design sense to business websites. Art is good for business and business is good for art.

I like to meet people if they are able to come by, but many of the websites I’ve designed have been done with only phone and email contact. My clients are from all over — and are, after all, people looking to expand their reach in the world beyond their own ability to meet face to face with everyone. It's a great way to start to discover the possibilities.

If you are interested in working with me, please feel free to contact any of my clients for references (contact information is on their websites). Then... contact me.
